Chet's Camp is located on Big Lake in the Grand Lake Stream Region of Down East Maine. Big Lake offers internationally known fishing opportunities. The Grand Lakes region supports outstanding grouse and bear hunting, and brags some of the biggest deer taken in Maine. Chet's is equipped for educational and business conferences or retreats.

Plan Your Getaway: Fish for salmon, small mouth bass, togue, perch and pickerel while enjoying the outstanding scenery that surrounds you. Explore our 52 islands and 105 miles of shoreline, coves and streams by boat, canoe, or kayak. Take a back country canoe trip with an experienced guide. Practice your navigational skills on our compass and GPS course. Observe moose, deer, fox, bald eagles and a variety of smaller mammals and birds. Revel at the fall foliage colors and just relax.

April and May - Trolling, spin fishing and fly fishing for landlocked salmon. Bird watching & white water canoeing.
May - August - Small mouth bass are king. White & yellow perch, pickerel, hornpout, sunfish add to the fun. Canoe, kayak and ATV trips, hiking, wildlife photography.
September to November - Perch fishing privides lots of action. Small mouth bass are still going strong and salmon are once again active on the surface. Fall foliage begins. Time to canoe, hike, ride the ATV trails, and learn to use a compass or GPS. Cast and Blast: (Oct 1-20). Fish for landlocks and hunt for grouse or woodcock on the same day. Landlock are on the surface again. Hunt for bear, deer or moose.

Lodge and Cabins: Chet’s has five cabins, each with it's own screened-in porch and dock. The cabins, grounds and equipment are clean and well maintained with attractive pine interiors and are set up as complete housekeeping units with linens, towels, kitchen cookware and eating utensils. Each cabin has a screened porch or gazebo, a private boat dock, satellite TV, and wireless internet. New: Stream House & Cottage rentals in the village of Grand Lake Stream. Walk through your yard to fish the world-renowned Grand Lake Stream.
